A Londoner has described how she lost half of her body weight through hypnotherapy, according to hampshirelocalnews.co.uk. Lynne Seymour, a mental health nurse from the Harefield area, described how she went from being a dress size 22 to a svelte size eight thanks to hypnosis sessions.
The 45-year-old said that before she found the therapy, she would lose up to seven stone on traditional diets, but she would always pile the weight back on after she reached her goal weight. However, after first considering gastric band surgery, Ms Seymour said she finally managed to come across hypnotherapy in August 2011.
After just one session, the nurse said she noticed a change, telling dailyecho.co.uk: "I started losing weight after the first week and it kept dropping off. It was no effort at all. I don't feel deprived. If someone brings cakes into work and I want one, I'll have it, but mostly I don't want them."
She continued: "I still have things like take-aways, but I stop when I'm full. I enjoy food now and I don't feel guilty all the time."
Ms Seymour also reminisced about a trip with both her mother and her dog, where she walked the quarter of the way up a hill, but couldn't make the rest. However, she claims after the hypnotherapy treatment, she is now "very active" and can "walk for miles".
